Proverbs: God-Centered Wisdom for Successful Living
Who doesn’t want to be wise and understanding? Who doesn’t want to have answers on what to do in your life, pitfalls to avoid, ways to lead your family, insight into handling other people and your relationships with them?
But are we looking in the right place and listening to the right voices?
The Book of Proverbs gives true wisdom, from our only infallible source of truth, God. The wisdom provided is able to help each of us navigate through life, being a benefit to both ourselves and others. The key to the entire Book is having a “fear of the Lord” that leads to true practical knowledge in relationships. We are to come to the Proverbs with reverence and humility before God to learn how He would want us to handle everyday situations. While we do not live in the same time period or covenant, wisdom from God is universally applicable.

Covid. Political turmoil. Technology has its tentacles into everything. There is an unending cycle of bad news. How far away is persecution? Anger, apathy, and despair is all around us. Join us as we turn to 1 & 2 Thessalonians to learn how we are to live as faithful Christians during these last days and in light of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Missionaries in Everyday Life
In this 5 week sermon series, we will be talking about something very dear to the heart of God, evangelism. At the heart of the gospel story we see Jesus leaving behind the glory of heaven to rescue the lost sons and daughters of God. You and I have received this lavish grace from Jesus and now we have the amazing opportunity to share it with those who are living all around us! We will also be discussing this important sermon series in our Life Groups. Our prayer is that each person at New Life Church is so in love with Jesus that they can’t help but talk about him to others in their daily life.

Romans Sermon Series
Regarding the book of Romans Martin Luther said this, "It is the chief part of the New Testament and the perfect gospel . . . the absolute epitome of the gospel." Richard Lenski wrote that the Book of Romans is “beyond question the most dynamic of all New Testament letters even as it was written at the climax of Paul’s apostolic career.” The Reformation and revivals have occurred when God's people have begun to understand the deep truths in the book of Romans. We are praying that this mighty book written by Paul will have a profound gospel impact here at New Life Church and in the city of Watertown. We hope you will join us!
