Sunday School classes for all ages meet at 10:00.

Who doesn’t want to be wise and understanding? Who doesn’t want to have answers on what to do in your life, pitfalls to avoid, ways to lead your family, insight into handling other people and your relationships with them? But are we looking in the right place and listening to the right voices?
The Book of Proverbs gives true wisdom, from our only infallible source of truth, God. The wisdom provided is able to help each of us navigate through life, being a benefit to both ourselves and others. The key to the entire Book is having a “fear of the Lord” that leads to true practical knowledge in relationships. We are to come to the Proverbs with reverence and humility before God to learn how He would want us to handle everyday situations. While we do not live in the same time period or covenant, wisdom from God is universally applicable.
Come journey with us this summer as we gain wisdom in navigating life through the Book of Proverbs.
Join us to pray together!
Connection Cards
We have Connection Cards available on the backs of the chairs in the sanctuary. Guests can fill them out and take them to the Info Center for a free gift. Anyone can use them to submit prayer requests, request more information about ministries, update personal contact information, ask a question, or give feedback. Cards can be dropped into the offering boxes at the entrances to the sanctuary.

Adult Sunday School Class
10:00am in the Fellowship Hall
This Sunday (May 18) is our last Sunday School session before we take a break for the summer. We’ll start meeting again in September.
““Every generation must defend the gospel anew. And like every generation, we must have a showdown with the wolves of our time.””
A movement called “deconstruction” is sweeping through our churches, affecting our loved ones-disrupting, dismantling, and destroying the faith of many.
Apostasy is nothing new. Ever since Paul mentioned in 2 Timothy 4:10 that his colleague Demas had fallen in love with the things of this world and abandoned him, the church has been aware that there are those whose profession of Christianity, while often powerfully expressed in the moment, proves weak and transient in the long term.
While every generation has its high profile apostates. What is new is the cool postmodern terminology that has emerged in the west for doing so: that of “deconstructing the faith”.
Join us April 27 - May 18 for a 4-week study by Alisa Childers and Tim Barnett as we get at the roots of what is being called one of the most significant challenges to Christianity in America today, and become better equipped to defend “the faith that was once for all time delivered to the saints!” (Jude 1:3)
The Bridge Course is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a fun, relaxed way. Each week begins with a meal followed by a talk addressing common questions about life and God. Afterwards there is a small-group conversation where you can ask questions or sit back and listen. There’s no pressure and no one will force you to believe anything.
who is it for?
The Bridge is for everyone, especially those wanting to explore the Christian faith, those who have unanswered questions, newcomers to the church and new Christians.
Pray about who you could invite and offer to come with them!

Recommended for Membership
The New Life elders are recommending John & Jenny Falcone for membership. In following our church constitution, their names will be posted here for two weeks and then they will be welcomed into membership. If you are wondering how membership works, you can read what our church constitution says about it here. The Next Steps Class is required for membership and we typically hold two series of classes each year. We’ll announce the dates/times here in the digital bulletin when we schedule the classes.

Listening Visits
Pastor Chris and Rhonda are setting up times to meet with those in our church family for “listening visits.” In addition to helping them get to know the New Life family, these visits will help Pastor Chris as he works with the Transition Team to find the man God has for us for our next Senior Pastor. If you would like to set up a time to meet, you can call the church office (886-1977) or send an email to Lezlie.
Do you have extra Bibles at home?
A member of our community is collecting Bibles to send overseas. If you have used Bibles that you would like to donate, you can place them in the box near the office door.
Each month, we highlight a missionary or organization that is supported by New Life. We encourage you to be praying for them and also learning more about how God is working through them in their area of ministry.

This year’s study: Genesis 1-11
In the beginning, God. Some of the most profound and powerful words that have ever been written. We are going to be taking a deep dive into the first 11 chapters of the Book of Genesis. We are going to encounter so many amazing truths that have an impact on us today in our world. Where did everything come from? Why are we here? Why is the world the way it is? Is there hope?
