Worship Services - 8:30am and 11:00am

Sunday School classes are taking a break for the summer. We’ll start up again after Labor Day.

Nursery care for children 0-2 is available during the 11:00 service.

Children’s Church for ages 3-5 is available during the sermon portion of the 11:00 service.

Who doesn’t want to be wise and understanding? Who doesn’t want to have answers on what to do in your life, pitfalls to avoid, ways to lead your family, insight into handling other people and your relationships with them? But are we looking in the right place and listening to the right voices?

The Book of Proverbs gives true wisdom, from our only infallible source of truth, God. The wisdom provided is able to help each of us navigate through life, being a benefit to both ourselves and others. The key to the entire Book is having a “fear of the Lord” that leads to true practical knowledge in relationships. We are to come to the Proverbs with reverence and humility before God to learn how He would want us to handle everyday situations. While we do not live in the same time period or covenant, wisdom from God is universally applicable.

Come journey with us this summer as we gain wisdom in navigating life through the Book of Proverbs.

Sunday School classes will not be meeting this summer.

We will have coffee and cookies available in the foyer between the two worship services. It’s a great time to catch up with a friend or meet someone new!

Recommended for Membership

The New Life elders are recommending Mark & Rebecca Fischer for membership. In following our church constitution, their names will be posted here for two weeks and then they will be welcomed into membership. If you are wondering how membership works, you can read what our church constitution says about it here. The Next Steps Class is required for membership and we typically hold two series of classes each year. The next session will be held the 4 Sundays in October during our Sunday School time (10:00-10:45am).

Annual Congregational Meeting

Our Annual Meeting will be held this Sunday, August 24 at 9:45am (between the two worship services). Everyone is welcome to attend! We’ll hear reports from our elders, pastors, and ministry leaders. Members will be voting on the proposed budget for 2025-26 and an elder candidate. You can pick up a printed copy of the Annual Report with more information about the budget and elder candidate in the foyer on Sunday. The button below will take you to a digital version of the same booklet.

Beginning Tuesday, September 2

What book of the Bible would you go to for the clearest explanation of how sinful people can be in the right relationship with a Holy God? Time after time I can only think of one book… Romans.

The Book of Romans, maybe more so than any other New Testament Book, shines a bright light on the transformative power of the gospel of Jesus Christ, from a man who himself was powerfully changed by Christ. We are going to start the year going chapter by chapter, verse by verse, through this amazing text given to us by God.

Also, throughout the study, we will be taking short detours to talk about some topics that all of us will face in our lifetime. Paul brings many of these topics up, as they were certainly happening in the church at Rome. Some of the topics include suffering, disagreements, knowing God’s will for your life, and pursuing holiness.

We are excited for what God will do with our time together in His Word, we pray you will join us!

Please call the church office or send an email to Pastor Billy if you have any questions - 605.886.1977 or billye@newlifeefree.org

Awana is our midweek program for kids age 3 (by Sept. 1) through 4th grade. Kids have a chance to learn truths from God’s word during large group lesson time and small group book time! Club 56 is our midweek program for 5th & 6th graders. With worship, large group time, and small group discussion, Club 56 is like an intermediate age youth group!

Bring the whole family on Wednesday, September 10 for some end-of-summer fun, pizza, and ice cream treats! The Club 56 kids will gather at New Life and head over to Midwest Bible Camp for some activities. There will also be pizza and ice cream treats!

Registering early is not required, but it really helps us to have our leaders prepared and in the right groups. It will also make the first night easier for you as parents!

Listening Visits

Pastor Chris and Rhonda are setting up times to meet with those in our church family for “listening visits.” In addition to helping them get to know the New Life family, these visits will help Pastor Chris as he works with the Transition Team to find the man God has for us for our next Senior Pastor. If you would like to set up a time to meet, you can call the church office (886-1977) or send an email to Lezlie.

Do you have extra Bibles at home?

A member of our community is collecting Bibles to send overseas. If you have used Bibles that you would like to donate, you can place them in the box near the office door.

Each month, we highlight a missionary or organization that is supported by New Life. We encourage you to be praying for them and also learning more about how God is working through them in their area of ministry.

The first night of Youth Group for the new school year will be September 3!

Youth Group is for students in 7th-12th grade.

We meet at 6:30pm on Wednesday evenings at the Life House.

Send an email to Pastor Billy if you would like to be added to his text reminder group: billye@newlifeefree.org
