The Book of Acts provides us with the early steps of faith the disciples took to move forward with this amazing news about Jesus, the good news of the gospel. This fledgling group of witnesses was filled with the power of God the Holy Spirit to go out and proclaim the truth all over the Mediterranean world and beyond. His work led to explosive growth of the church through sharing the good news, convicting hearts, and healing the nations.

The Book of Acts is an encouragement to us all that God is working all the time, even when things look bleak.

On November 23, we will take a break from our Adult Sunday School series…

We’ll meet in the auditorium for a time to share testimonies and to give God thanks and praise for what He’s done and is doing! Youth and kids’ Sunday School classes will meet as usual.

My mouth will tell of your righteous acts, of your deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is past my knowledge.
— Psalm 71:15

Dear friends at New Life,

On behalf of the pastoral staff and their families, we want to express that we are deeply grateful for the expressions of appreciation we received in recent weeks.  Your kind and uplifting notes and thoughtful and generous gifts have touched our hearts and encouraged us in ministry.

Thank you for loving your pastoral families well.

Recommended for Membership

The New Life elders are recommending Brent Hunt and Brooke Lupinek for membership. In following our church constitution, their names will be posted here for two weeks and then they will be welcomed into membership. If you are wondering how membership works, you can read what our church constitution says about it here. The Next Steps Class is required for membership and we typically hold two series of classes each year. The next class will be in the spring and we’ll announce the dates/times here in the digital bulletin when we schedule the classes.

It’s almost time to decorate the church for Christmas!

We will be doing most of the decorating during the day on Monday, November 24. If you are available and would like to help, contact Sherry (sherryd@newlifeefree.org or 605-868-4044).

What book of the Bible would you go to for the clearest explanation of how sinful people can be in the right relationship with a Holy God? Time after time I can only think of one book… Romans.

The Book of Romans, maybe more so than any other New Testament Book, shines a bright light on the transformative power of the gospel of Jesus Christ, from a man who himself was powerfully changed by Christ. We are going to start the year going chapter by chapter, verse by verse, through this amazing text given to us by God.

Also, throughout the study, we will be taking short detours to talk about some topics that all of us will face in our lifetime. Paul brings many of these topics up, as they were certainly happening in the church at Rome. Some of the topics include suffering, disagreements, knowing God’s will for your life, and pursuing holiness.

We are excited for what God will do with our time together in His Word, we pray you will join us!

Please call the church office or send an email to Pastor Billy if you have any questions - 605.886.1977 or billye@newlifeefree.org

Are you able to provide a meal?

We like to start each young adult evening with a meal. It's a good time for them to come together and have some fellowship time prior to teaching and discussion. Meals can be dropped off at the church kitchen during the day on Tuesdays or you and your life group can serve the meal starting at 6:30pm.

We need to have enough for 75-80 (young adults and leaders). If you have questions about the amount or any other questions please contact Pastor Billy - billye@newlifeefree.org

Awana is our midweek program for kids age 3 (by Sept. 1) through 4th grade. Kids have a chance to learn truths from God’s word during large group lesson time and small group book time! Club 56 is our midweek program for 5th & 6th graders. With worship, large group time, and small group discussion, Club 56 is like an intermediate age youth group!

Do you have extra Bibles at home?

A member of our community is collecting Bibles to send overseas. If you have used Bibles that you would like to donate, you can place them in the box near the office door.

Each month, we highlight a missionary or organization that is supported by New Life. We encourage you to be praying for them and also learning more about how God is working through them in their area of ministry.
